Abstract: The study was carried out in accordance with the definitive study method to determine the level of adherence to immunosupressive therapy of transplant patients and the factors. The study group of the study consists of 100 patients that are followed at the TRNC Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital’s Nephrology Polyclinic. The data of the study were collected with “patient characteristics form” and “adherence to immunosuppressive therapy scale.” Mann-Whitney U and Kruskal Wallis and number-percentage tests were used for the statistical evaluation of the data. 28% of the patients in the study were in the 51-50 age group and 61% of them were male, 42% of them were graduated from high school, 74% of them were married, 32% of them were retired and 71% of them had an income equal to their expenses. 77% of the patients got a transplant from a living donor and 43,8% of these got the transplant from their mother/father/siblings. 49% of the patients had the surgery 1- 1,5 years ago. 57% of the patients use 5 to 6 drugs per day and 99% of them use their drugs regularly and 96% of them use their drugs without any missing takes. 87% of the patients got trained for the drugs they use and 47, 1% of the patients who were trained for the drugs got the training only from physicians. 89% of the patients were aware of the side effects and 41% of them use a reminder for the drugs. It has been seen that the patients got an overall of x=11, 49±0, 78 points from the Adherence to Immunosppressive Treatment Scale. The patients got a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 12 points from the AIT Scale. It has been determined that there is no statistically meaningful difference between the points patients got from the adherence to immunosuppressive therapy scale according to their age, gender, education, martial status, occupation or income. Continuous evaluation of the level of adherence to immunosuppressive treatment of the patients by nurses, evaluation of level of adherence to immunosuppressive treatment with different methods of assessment, evaluation of factors that impact patients with low adherence to immunosuppressive treatments is advised.
