Hemşirelik Öğrencilerinin Genel Afetlere Bireysel Hazırlıklarının İncelenmesi

Abstract

ÖZ: Bu araştırma, Doğu Akdeniz Üniversitesi Sağlık Bilimleri Fakültesi Hemşirelik Bölümü öğrencilerinin genel afetlere bireysel hazırlıklarını incelemek amacıyla tanımlayıcı araştırma tasarımına uygun olarak yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın evrenini; 2020-2021 Eğitim Öğretim döneminde eğitim gören toplam 345 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Araştırmada kullanılan veri toplama formu iki bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde Kişisel Bilgi Formu ve ikinci bölümde Genel Afetlere Hazırlık Ölçeği (GAHÖ) bulunmaktadır. Araştırmanın verileri, gerekli kurum ve etik kurul izinleri alındıktan sonra, çevrimiçi ortamda araştırmacı tarafından toplanmıştır. Araştırmada verilerin istatistiksel analizinde SPSS 25.0 programı kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada, öğrencilerin yaş ortalaması 20,64±2,02 olarak bulunmuştur. Öğrencilerin %41,7’sinin daha önce afete maruz kaldığı, %35,4’ünün deprem afetini yaşadığı saptanmıştır. Çalışmada yer alan katılımcıların %82,5’i acil durum ve afet konusunda bilgi sahibi olduklarını, %77,2’si afet eğitimine gereksinim duyduklarını, %89,4’ünün afet çantasının olmadığı, %71,2’sinin ise olası bir afet durumunda toplanma alanının yerini bilmediği ifade etmiştir. Öğrencilerinn, GAHÖ toplam puanı ortalaması 168,94±24,65 olarak saptanmıştır. Çalışmada, toplam ölçek ve alt boyutları arasında pozitif yönde orta düzeyde bir korelasyon saptanmıştır (r:, 714; p<0,05). Çalışma sonuçlarına göre, öğrencilerin afete bilgisi ve afete hazırlık oranları düşüktür. Afet yönetimi ile ilgili yürütülen derslere, afet tatbikatı gibi uyglamalarında eklenmesi gerekmektedir.

This research was carried out in accordance with the descriptive research design in order to examine the individual preparedness of the Eastern Mediterranean University Faculty of Health Sciences Nursing Department students for general disasters. The universe of the research; A total of 345 students were educated in the 2020-2021 academic year. The data collection form used in the research consists of two parts. There is a personal information form in the first part and a General Disaster Preparedness Scale (GDPS) in the second part. The data of the study are collected by the researcher in the online environment after the necessary institutional and ethical committee permissions. SPSS 25.0 program is used in the statistical analysis of the data in the study. In the study, the average age of the students was found to be 20.64±2.02. It was determined that 41.7% of the students had been exposed to a disaster before, and 35.4% had experienced an earthquake disaster. 82.5% of the participants in the study have knowledge about emergency and disaster, 77.2% need disaster education, 89.4% do not have a disaster kit, 71.2% have a potential disaster. He stated that he did not know the location of the assembly area in case of disaster. The mean total score of GDPS was 168.94±24.65. , and a moderate positive correlation was found between the GDPS and its sub-dimensions (r:, 714; p<0.05). According to the results of the study, students' disaster knowledge and disaster preparedness rates are low. It should be added to the lessons conducted on disaster management, in practices such as disaster drills.
