Cross-Polarized Cylindrical Gravitational Waves of Einstein and Rosen

Abstract

Using Einstein-Rosen's linearly polarized waves as the seed solution, we derive an interesting solution for the Einstein's equations that describes the evolution of such waves with the second polarization.
