dc.description.abstract The quaternionic version of the Ernst formalism is used to propose an alternative generalization of the Zipoy-Voorhees metric that represents spinning spheroids. Rotating discs and their superposition that generalize the static Curzon solution arises as a particular member of the class. Some features are different from the well-known Kerr and Tomimatsu-Sato solutions. en_US
