dc.description.abstract To raise the awareness and understanding about the building information modeling (BIM) and laser scanning tools and applications in construction industry, a questionnaire was administered to participants from different background and workplaces. The results indicate the participants’ positive perceptions of employing such tools in their workplace. This study also reports on a case study using BIM and laser scanning tools on Teknopark Building in North Cyprus. For this purpose, a CADeyes camera was used to capture the building’s 3D spatial and visual data, which were then analyzed using Revit to generate a 3D model. The outcomes revealed the efficient and effective use of these tools in the construction sector. The findings of this study, therefore, recommend designers and end-users to use these applications in order to meet the basic requirements of design and construction as well as to deal with the challenges such as errors, risks and costs of construction projects. en_US
