Covid-19 Pandemi Döneminde Eğitim Yönetimi Açısından Okul Müdürlerinin Karşılaştıkları Problemlere İlişkin Çözüm Yöntemlerinin İncelenmesi

Abstract

ÖZ: Bu araştırmanın amacı, KKTC Millî Eğitim Bakanlığına bağlı Temel Eğitim 1. kademe (ilkokul) okullarında görev yapan okul müdürlerinin, covid-19 pandemi sürecinde eğitim yönetimi açısından, eğitimin devamlılığının sağlanması için yapılan çalışmaları, karantina döneminde paydaşları motive etmeye yönelik çalışmaları, bu süreçte karşılaştıkları problemleri ve bu problemlere ilişkin geliştirdikleri çözüm yöntemlerini cinsiyet, mesleki kıdem ve eğitim düzeyi değişkenlerine göre incelemek ve bir durum saptaması ortaya koymaktır. Eğitim düzeyi, cinsiyet, eğitim ve yaş gibi demografik özellikler çalışma grubunda çeşitlilik sağlamıştır. Bu araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemi olarak yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme tekniği kullanılmıştır. Bu yöntemle okul müdürleri ile birebir görüşmeler yapılarak veriler toplanmıştır. Araştırmada 16 okul müdürü ile çalışılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler içerik analizi yapılarak araştırmacı tarafından analiz edilmiştir. Bulgulardan elde edilen bilgilere göre okul müdürlerinin, covid-19 pandemi dönemi eğitim-öğretim sürecinin yönetilmesine ilişkin en sık karşılaştıkları problemin online eğitime geçiş sürecinde yaşandığı, online eğitimde en çok kullanılan kitle iletişim ağının Zoom ve WhatsApp olduğu, karantina döneminde eğitim paydaşlarını motive etmeye yönelik çalışmalarında en çok bilgilendirme ve eğitimler düzenleme yoluna başvurduklarını, son olarak karşılaştıkları problemlere ilişkin en çok çözüm getirdikleri alanın teknolojik donanım ve alt yapı eksikliklerinin giderilmesine yönelik çözümler olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

The aim of this research is to examine the studies carried out by the school principals working in the Basic Education 1st level (primary school) schools affiliated to the TRNC Ministry of National Education in terms of education management in the covid-19 pandemic process, their work to motivate stakeholders during the quarantine period, the problems they encounter in this process and the methods of coping with these problems according to gender, professional seniority and education level variables and a situation determination emerges. In this study, semi-structured interview technique was used as a qualitative research method. With this method, data were collected by conducting one-to-one interviews with school principals. In the study, 16 school principals were studied. The obtained data were analyzed by the researcher by making content analysis. According to the information obtained from the findings, the most common problem that school principals encounter regarding the management of the education process during the covid-19 pandemic period is experienced during the transition to online education, the most used communication network in online education is WhatsApp, they apply the most information/suggestion method in their efforts to motivate stakeholders during the quarantine period, and finally the technological equipment and infrastructure of the area where they bring the most solutions to the problems they encounter it was concluded that there were solutions to eliminate the deficiencies.
