ÖZ:
Bu tanımlayıcı-kesitsel araştırma üniversite öğrencisi genç kadınların cinsel ve
üreme sağlığı damgalama düzeylerini ve etkileyen faktörleri belirlemek amacıyla
yapıldı. Çalışmanın evrenini, Doğu Akdeniz Üniversitesi, 2020-2021 Eğitim-Öğretim
yılı Bahar Döneminde Türkçe programlarda öğrenim gören 3387 kadın öğrenci
oluşturdu. Tabakalı örneklem hesabı sonucu belirlenen ve örneklem kabul kriterlerini
karşılayan 358 genç kadın örneklemi oluşturdu. Araştırma verileri Katılımcı Tanıtım
Formu ve Genç Kadınlarda Cinsel ve Üreme Sağlığı Damgalama Ölçeği (GKCÜDÖ)
kullanılarak toplandı.
Katılımcıların çoğunluğunun 22-25 yaş aralığında (%49,72), bekar (%93,30),
şehirde yaşayan (%83,24), herhangi bir işte çalışmayan (%65,64), çekirdek aileye
sahip (%69,55), gelirini giderine eşit olarak algılayan (%58,94) ve ailesi ile birlikte
yaşayan (%56,42) kadınlardan oluştuğu saptandı. Katılımcıların GKCÜDÖ’den
aldıkları toplam puan ortalaması 9,33±4,85 idi. Çalışmada GKCÜDÖ puanlarını
etkileyen faktörlerin; yaş, medeni durum, en uzun yaşadıkları yer, çalışma durumu,
aile tipi, baba eğitim düzeyi, şu an yaşadıkları yer, damgalanma ile ilgili bilgi sahibi
olma durumları, ailede ya da çevrelerinde damgalandığı düşünülen birey olma durumu
ve öğrenim görülen bölüm olduğu saptandı (p<0,05).
Çalışmada elde edilen bulgulara göre, genç kadınların cinsel ve üreme sağlığı
damgalama düzeyi orta seviyenin altındaydı. Ayrıca genç kadınların cinsel ve üreme
sağlığı damgalama düzeyini etkileyen çok sayıda kişisel tanıtıcı özellik
bulunmaktaydı.
Çalışma sonuçları ışığında genç kadınların cinsel ve üreme sağlığı damgalama
düzeylerini etkileyen faktörler göz önüne alınarak, riskli gruplar başta olmak üzere
tüm öğrencilere yönelik cinsel sağlık, üreme sağlığı ve damgalama farkındalığı
eğitimleri düzenlenmesi önerilmektedir.
This descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted to determine the sexual
and reproductive health stigma levels of young university students and the affecting
factors. The universe of the study consisted of 3387 female students studying in
Turkish programs at Eastern Mediterranean University in the Spring Semester of the
2020-2021 academic year. The sample of 358 young women who were reached as a
result of the stratified sample calculation and met the study acceptance criteria were
formed. The data of the study were collected using the Personal Information Form and
the Young Women's Sexual and Reproductive Health Stigma Scale (SRHSS).
The majority of the participants are between the ages of 22-25 (49.72%), single
(93.30%), living in the city (83.24%), not working in any job (65.64%), having a
nuclear family (69.55%). ), who perceived their income as equal to their expenses
(58.94%) and living with their families (56.42%) were found to be composed of
women. The total mean score of the participants in the SRHSS was 9.33±4.85. In the
study, the factors affecting the SRHSS scores; Age, marital status, longest place of
residence, employment status, family type, father's education level, current place of
residence, knowledge about stigmatization, being an individual who is thought to be
stigmatized in the family or their environment, and department of education (p. <0.05).
According to the findings of the study, the level of sexual and reproductive
health stigma of young women was below the moderate level. In addition, there were
many characteristic of participants affect the sexual and reproductive health stigma
level of young women.
Considering the factors affecting the sexual and reproductive health
stigmatization levels of young women in the light of the study results, it is
recommended to organize sexual health, reproductive health and stigma awareness
trainings for all students, especially risky groups.
