ÖZ:
Tarihsel süreç içerisinde ataerkil topluluklarda dışlanmış, ezilmiş ve baskı
altına alınarak erkekler ile eşit haklara ve pozisyonlara sahip olamamış özneler hep
kadınlar olmuştur. Kadınlar, ellerinden alınan hakları karşısında sosyolojik, ekonomik
ve politik pozisyonlarını iyileştirme amacıyla geçmişte ve günümüzde daima
mücadele içerisinde olmuştur. Türkiye’de her gün sayısız kadının fiziksel, psikolojik
ve cinsel şiddete maruz kalması ve kadınların ellerinden haklarının alınması
sonucunda kadınlar tiyatro alanında da kadın mücadelesine destek vermektedir.
Türkiye’de 2015 yılından itibaren İstanbul’da çalışmalarını sürdüren İstanbul
Düş Sahnesi, amatör ruhlu kadın ve erkeklerden oluşan bir tiyatro grubudur. Bu tiyatro
grubu kendi içerisinde bir alt grubu da içermektedir. Bu alt grup, 2020 yılından itibaren
İstanbul’da çalışmalarını sürdüren Feminist Drama Topluluğu’dur. Bu topluluk, kadın
mücadelesini tiyatro aracılığı ile seyirciye ileten amatör ruhlu yedi kadından
oluşmaktadır. Bu kadınların katılımı ile İstanbul Düş Sahnesi tiyatro oyunlarını
sergilemektedir.
Bu tezde, Türkiye’deki kadın mücadelesi Feminist Drama Topluluğunun tüm
katılımcılarının da içinde yer aldığı İstanbul Düş Sahnesi tarafından sahnelenen, “Jan
Dark’ın Dönüşü” isimli tiyatro oyunu ekseninde ele alınmıştır. Cihan Şan tarafından
yönetilen, Bernard Shaw'ın Saint Joan oyununun bir uyarlaması olan “Jan Dark’ın
Dönüşü” oyununun metni günümüz dünyasının ataerkil düzenine karşı Türkiye’deki
kadın mücadelesi açısından, nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden biri olan A.J. Greimas’ın
eyleyenler ve dörtgen göstergebilimsel modeli ile incelenmiştir. Bu tezin amacı
Türkiye’de İstanbul Düş Sahnesinin sergilediği “Jan Dark’ın Dönüşü” oyunu ile kadın
cinayetlerine karşı hak arayışı ve verilen mücadele temsillerinin göstergeler kullanılarak seyirciye nasıl aktarıldığının yorumlanması ve değerlendirilmesidir.
Yapılan çözümleme sonucunda “Jan Dark’ın Dönüşü” isimli oyunun seyirciye
aktardığı göstergelerin, toplumsal cinsiyet eşitsizliği, kadın mücadelesi ve ataerkil yapı
temaları etrafında şekillendiği görülmüştür.
Historically, women have always been the subjects who have been
marginalized, oppressed, and suppressed in patriarchal societies and have not had
equal rights and positions with men. Both in the past and the present, women have
always been in a struggle to recover their stolen rights and improve their sociological,
economical, and political positions. In Turkey, countless women are subjected to
physical, psychological, and sexual violence every day and women's rights are being
taken away from them. Women are supporting women's resistance in the field of
theater as well.
İstanbul Düş Sahnesi, which has been working in Istanbul since 2015, is a
theater group of amateur-spirited men and women. This theater group also has a sub
group within itself. This subgroup is the Feminist Drama Topluluğu and it has been
working in Istanbul since 2020. This troupe consists of seven amateur-spirited women
who convey women's struggle to the audience through theater. İstanbul Düş Sahnesi
performs several plays with the contributions of these women.
In this thesis, I will examine the women's struggle in Turkey through the play
Jan Dark’ın Dönüşü, staged by İstanbul Düş Sahnesi, which includes performances
from all of the participants of the Feminist Drama Topluluğu. The text of the play Jan
Dark’ın Dönüşü is an adaptation of Bernard Shaw's Saint Joan by the director Cihan
Şan, and it is analyzed with the square and the actantial model of semiotics by A. J.
Greimas, which is one of the qualitative research methods used to examine women's
struggle against the patriarchal order in the modern world. The aim of this thesis is to
interpret and evaluate how the representation of the struggle against femicide and the
struggle for women’s rights is conveyed to the audience by using signs in the play Jan Dark’ın Dönüşü as performed by İstanbul Düş Sahnesi in Turkey. As a result of the
analysis, I have found that the signs conveyed to the audience by the play Jan Dark’ın
Dönüşü were shaped around the themes of gender inequality, women's struggle and
patriarchal structure.
