ÖZ:
Bu araştırma Ankara/Çankaya bölgesinde yaşayan 15-19 yaş grubu lise
öğrencilerinde yeme davranışı, beden algısı ve yeme bozukluğu durumunun
araştırılması amacıyla 160 öğrenci ile yürütülmüştür. Öğrencilere yeme
davranışlarını belirlemek için yeme tutum testi (EAT-26), beden algılarını belirlemek
için Beden Algısı Ölçeği (BAÖ), yeme bozukluğu durumlarının saptanması için
Yeme Bozukluğu Değerlendirme Ölçeği (EDE-Q) kullanılmıştır. Ayrıca;
öğrencilerin antropometrik araştırmacı tarafından ölçülüp , besin tüketim sıklıkları ve
genel bilgileride yüz yüze anket yöntemiyle toplanmıştır. BKİ persentil değerlerine
göre; lise öğrencilerinin %20.6’sının çok zayıf ,%6.25’inin zayıf, %45.6’sının
normal aralıkta, %14.3’ünün hafif şişman, %13.1’inin obez sınıflandırılmasında
olduğu görülmektedir. Kız öğrencilerin %53.4’ü, erkek öğrencilerin ise %70.8’inin
bozulmuş yeme tutumu vardır. BAÖ puanlarının sonuçlarına göre erkek öğrencilerin
%1.38’i bozulmuş beden algısına sahip iken kız öğrencilerin %28.4’ü bozulmuş
beden algısına sahiptir. BKİ grupları ile beden algısı durumları arasında istatistiksel
olarak anlamlı bir fark bulunmuştur (p<0.05). Çok zayıf BKİ grubundaki
öğrencilerin %71.4’ü bozulmuş beden algısana sahipken, obez öğrencilerin tümü
normal beden algısına sahip olarak saptanmıştır. Normal yeme tutumuna sahip
öğrenciler, bozulmuş yeme tutumuna sahip öğrencilere göre daha fazla normal beden
algısına sahip olarak bulunmuştur (p<0.05). EDE-Q; tüm alt ölçekleri (kısıtlama,
yeme endişesi, beden şekli endişesi, vücut ağırlığı endişesi) ve toplam skor
puanlarında erkekler, kız öğrencilere göre daha düşük puanlar almıştır (p<0.05).
Öğrencilerin %86.2’sinde yeme bozukluğu klinik önem düzeyinde değil iken
%13.8’inde klinik önem düzeyindedir. Bel çevresi ve beden algısı değeri arasında ters taraflı orta derecede bir ilişki bulunmuştur (r=-0.478, p<0.05). Bel çevresi ile
EDE-Q toplam skoru arasında da zıt taraflı düşük ölçüde anlamlı bir ilişkiye
ulaşılmıştır (r=-0.170, p<0.05). EAT-26 ile EDE-Q değerleri arasında ise aynı yönlü
yüksek derecede bir ilişki bulunmuştur (r=0.600, p<0.05). Bel çevresi ile BKİ
ortalama değerleri arasında yüksek derecede pozitif yönlü bir ilişki saptanmıştır
(r=0.801, p<0.05). BKİ ile beden algısı değerleri arasında ise orta derecede ters
yönlü anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmuştur (r=-0.481, p<0.05). Araştırmadan elde edilen
sonuçlara göre, erkek öğrencilere kıyasla kız öğrencilerde klinik önem düzeyinde
yeme bozukluğu riski ve olumsuz beden algısı görülme durumu daha yüksek
gözlemlenmiştir. Ayrıca lise öğrencilerinde BKİ ve bel çevresindeki artış, beden algı
düzeyini düşürmektedir. Adölesan dönemde beden algısı, yeme davranışı ve yeme
bozukluğu durumuyla ilişkili olabilecek diğer faktörlerin daha kapsamlı araştırılması
faydalı olacaktır.
This research was conducted with 160 students in order to investigate the
eating behavior, body image and eating disorder status of 15-19 age group high
school students living in Ankara/Çankaya region. Eating attitude test (EAT-26) was
used to determine eating behaviors of the students, Body Perception Scale (BAI) was
used to determine their body perceptions, and Eating Disorder Rating Scale (EDE-Q)
was used to determine their eating disorder status. Moreover; The students were
measured by the anthropometric researcher, and their food consumption frequency
and general information were collected by face-to-face survey method. According to
the percentile values of BMI; it is seen that 20.6% of high school students are very
thin, 6.25% are underweight, 45.6% are in the normal range, 14.3% are slightly
obese and 13.1% are obese. 53.4% of female students and 70.8% of male students
have an impaired eating attitude. According to the results of BAI scores, 1.38% of
male students have impaired body perception, while 28.4% of female students have
impaired body image. A statistically significant difference was found between BMI
groups and body image status (p<0.05). While 71.4% of the students in the very thin
BMI group had impaired body image, all of the obese students were found to have
normal body image. Students with normal eating attitudes were found to have more
normal body perception than students with impaired eating attitudes (p<0.05). EDEQ; In all subscales (restriction, eating anxiety, body shape anxiety, body weight
anxiety) and total score points, males got lower scores than female students (p<0.05).
Eating disorder was not clinically significant in 86.2% of the students, while it was
clinically significant in 13.8%. A moderately reversed correlation was found between
waist circumference and body image value (r=-0.478, p<0.05). There was also a low significant correlation between waist circumference and EDE-Q total score (r=-
0.170, p<0.05). A high degree of correlation was found between EAT-26 and EDE-Q
values (r=0.600, p<0.05). A highly positive correlation was found between waist
circumference and mean BMI values (r=0.801, p<0.05). A moderately inversely
significant relationship was found between BMI and body image values (r=-0.481,
p<0.05). According to the results obtained from the study, it was observed that the
risk of eating disorders and negative body image were higher in female students
compared to male students at the clinical significance level. In addition, the increase
in BMI and waist circumference in high school students decreases the level of body
perception. A more comprehensive investigation of body image, eating behavior and
other factors that may be associated with eating disorder in adolescence would be
beneficial.
