ÖZ:
Bu çalışma, okul öncesi öğretmenlerinin cinsel eğitime yönelik görüşlerinin
neler olduğunun belirlenmesi ve cinsel eğitime yönelik uygulamalarda kullanılan
materyallerin/etkinliklerin incelenmesini amaçlamıştır. Çalışma Gazimağusa ve İskele
ilçesinde MEB’e bağlı devlet ve özel anaokullarında görev yapan altmış beş
öğretmenin katılımıyla gerçekleşmiştir. Çalışmaya nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden
durum çalışması modeli uygulanmıştır. Çalışmada veriler, yarı yapılandırılmış form
ile kontrol listesi yoluyla elde edilmiştir. Bu form ve kontrol listesi danışman eşliğinde
hazırlanarak iki Çocuk Gelişimi bir Klinik Psikoloji alanında uzman olan üç kişiye
gönderilmiştir. Veri toplama araçları dönütlere uygun olarak yeniden düzenlenmiştir.
Çalışmada veri analizi ise içerik ve betimsel analiz yoluyla analiz edilmiştir. Elde
edilen veriler danışman eşliğinde belirli temalar çerçevesinde gruplandırılarak
kodlanmıştır. Kodlanan bu temalar danışman eşliğinde analiz edilmiştir. Tez danışmanı
ve araştırmacı tarafından bu kodlamaların içsel tutarlılığının sağlanılması için Milles
ve Huberman (1994) güvenirlik formülü uygulanmıştır. Öğretmenlerin görüşlerine
ilişkin elde edilen veriler danışman eşliğinde içerik analizi ile tablo haline getirilmiştir.
Öğretmenlerin kullandıkları materyaller ise betimsel analiz yolu ile tablo haline
getirilmiştir. Çalışmada, öğretmenlerin cinsel eğitimi çoğunlukla çocuğun kendini
koruması ile sınırladıkları, cinsel eğitim konularında mahremiyet konusunu ele
aldıkları, cinsel eğitimde öğretmenin rolüne ilişkin çoğunlukla bilgi verme ve çocuğa
mahremiyetini öğretme, kazanımlara ilişkin öğretmeninin çocuğun kendini koruması
olarak ifade ettiği tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca öğretmenlerin çoğunlukla cinsel eğitime
yönelik herhangi bir eğitim almadıkları saptanmıştır. Öğretmenlerin cinsel eğitim
uygulamalarında çoğunlukla materyal kullanımına yer vermedikleri saptanmıştır.

İncelenen materyallerde ise en fazla Cinsel Sağlık ana kavramını içerdiği, en az
Toplum ve Kültür ana kavramını içerdiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Bu bağlamda
çalışmada elde edilen bulgulara dayanılarak öğretmenlerin cinsel eğitimi kendini
koruma kavramı ile ilişkilendirdikleri söylenebilir. Bu çalışmada elde edilen bulgular,
literatürdeki bilgiler ışığında tartışılmıştır. Çalışma, tartışmadan elde edilen sonuçlar
çerçevesinde sonuçlandırılmıştır. Çalışma, öğretmenlere ve araştırmacılara yönelik
öneriler ile son bulmuştur.
This study aimed to determine the views of preschool teachers on sexual
education and to examine the materials/activities used in sexual education practices.
The study was conducted with the participation of sixty-five teachers working in state
and private kindergartens affiliated to the Ministry of National Education in Famagusta
and Iskele districts. Case study model, one of the qualitative research methods, was
applied to the study. The data were obtained through a semi-structured form and a
checklist. This form and checklist were prepared in the presence of a consultant and
sent to three experts, two in the field of Child Development and one in the field of
Clinical Psychology. Data collection tools were reorganised in accordance with the
feedback. Data analysis in the study was analysed through content and descriptive
analysis. The data obtained were grouped and coded within the framework of certain
themes in the presence of the consultant. These coded themes were analysed in the
presence of the supervisor. Milles and Huberman (1994) reliability formula was
applied by the thesis supervisor and the researcher to ensure the internal consistency
of these codings. The data obtained from the teachers' opinions were tabulated by
content analysis in the presence of the supervisor. The materials used by the teachers
were tabulated through descriptive analysis. In the study, it was determined that the
teachers mostly limited sexual education to the self-protection of the child, addressed
the issue of privacy in sexual education issues, mostly gave information about the role
of the teacher in sexual education and taught the child about privacy, and the teacher
expressed the child's self-protection as the child's self-protection. In addition, it was
determined that most of the teachers did not receive any training on sexual education.
It was determined that teachers mostly did not include the use of materials in sexual

education practices. In the materials analysed, it was concluded that the materials
mostly included the main concept of Sexual Health and the least included the main
concept of Society and Culture. In this context, based on the findings obtained in this
study, it can be said that teachers associate sexual education with the concept of selfprotection. The findings obtained in this study were discussed in the light of the
information in the literature. The study was concluded within the framework of the
results obtained from the discussion. The study concluded with recommendations for
teachers and researchers.
