  • Halilsoy, Mustafa (Classical and Quantum Gravity, Institution of Physics (IOP) Publishing, 1997)
Sandwich waves in the Einstein–Maxwell theory are expressed globally by introducing step functions at the boundaries. We show that a test particle crossing such a wave zone extracts energy from the sandwich wave.
  • Aydın, Elif (Doğu Akdeniz Üniversitesi (DAÜ), 2010)
ÖZ: Tezimin konusu Tevfik Fikret’in 1886-1896 arasında yazdığı gençlik dönemi aşk şiirleridir. Tevfik Fikret iyi bir aşk şairi olmakla birlikte onun aşk şiirleri yeteri kadar incelenmemiştir. Bu yüzden, biz de bu konuyu ...
  • Abdulla, Bokan Ahmed (Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) - Doğu Akdeniz Üniversitesi (DAÜ), 2018)
The most important pioneer of the Servet-i Fünûn period, which holds a very important place in the history of Turkish literature, is the poet Tevfik Fikret. He was also a traslator. The poems of Tevfik Fikret have been ...
  • Onwochei, Daniel Onyeka (Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) - Doğu Akdeniz Üniversitesi (DAÜ), 2019)
In our current society, technology is advancing at a very high pace, and these new inventions also generates large amount of data. Data is now increasing at an exponential rate, and this alarming growth rate has led to ...
  • Dalyan, Ayşe (Muğla Üniversitesi, 2011)
Arap edebiyatının ardından Fars edebiyatında şairlerin unutulmaması için kullanılan, Ali Şîr Nevâî aracılığıyla edebiyatımıza geçen tezkire geleneği Klâsik Türk edebiyatının inceleme alanlarından biridir. Bugüne kadar ...
  • Mazharimousavi, S. Habib; Gürtuğ, Özay; Halilsoy, Mustafa (Classical and Quantum Gravity, Institute of Physics (IOP) Publishing, 2010)
We present a theorem in d-dimensional static, spherically symmetric spacetime in generic Lovelock gravity coupled with a non-linear electrodynamic source to generate solutions. The theorem states that irrespective of the ...
  • Lajevardipour, Alireza (Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) - Doğu Akdeniz Üniversitesi (DAÜ), 2012-06)
  • Halilsoy, Mustafa; Övgün, Ali; Mazharimousavi, S. Habib (The European Physical Journal C, Springer, 2014-03-13)
We revisit the regular black hole found by Hayward in 4 -dimensional static, spherically symmetric spacetime. To find a possible source for such a spacetime we resort to the nonlinear electrodynamics in general relativity. ...
  • Kianfar, Khashayar (Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) - Doğu Akdeniz Üniversitesi (DAÜ), 2019)
We study the possibility of constructing \ thin-shell wormhole (TSW) in a particular 𝑓(𝑅)-gravity model coupled minimally with nonlinear electromagnetic fields. In doing so, first we give a new static spherically ...
  • Mazharimousavi, S. Habib; Halilsoy, Mustafa (The European Physical Journal C, Springer, 2014)
The Zipoy-Voorhees-Weyl (ZVW) spacetime characterized by mass (M) and oblateness (δ) is proposed in the construction of viable thin-shell wormholes (TSWs). Departure from spherical / cylindrical symmetry yields positive ...
  • Mazharimousavi, S. Habib; Halilsoy, Mustafa (European Physical Journal C, Springer, 2015)
Real-valued triplet of scalar fields as source gives rise to a metric which tilts the scalar, not the light cone, in 2+1-dimensions. The topological metric is static, regular and it is characterized by an integer κ=±1,±2,.... ...
  • Abdal Razzaq, Eman Hameed (Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) - Doğu Akdeniz Üniversitesi (DAÜ), 2014-02)
ABSTRACT: This research is to assess the conceptual understanding of towards learning Physics courses for master and undergraduate students among the first year and final year. The study examined engineering undergraduates ...
  • Fatima, Madeeha (Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) - Doğu Akdeniz Üniversitesi (DAÜ), 2020-01)
Finite automata with translucent letters are extensions of the usual finite state automata allowing to proceed the input not strictly left to right manner. There are some letters which are translucent for each internal ...
  • Abuhmaidan, Khaled Hussein (Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) - Doğu Akdeniz Üniversitesi (DAÜ), 2019-05)
The concept of the grid is broadly used in digital geometry and other fields of computer science; it consists of discrete points with integer coordinates. Coordinate systems are essential for making grids easy to use. ...
  • Volkan, Haşim (Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), 2013)
ABSTRACT: The realm of The Truman Show is exceptionally intricate. It depicts the circumstances and experiences of Truman Burbank surrounded by another world in which he is the focus. The complexity of the film comes from ...
  • Jusufi, Kimet; Övgün, Ali (Springer, 2016-06-02)
We study the quantum tunneling of charged massive vector bosons from a charged static and a rotating black string. We apply the standard methods, first we use the WKB approximation and the Hamilton-Jacobi equation, and ...
  • Eser, Muhittin Cenk (Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), 2011)
ABSTRACT: The tunneling time problem was a very popular problem at the end of the 20th century. In Quantum Mechanics only observables can be measured, i.e. these observables are real quantities. From mathematics it is well ...
  • Sakallı, İzzet; Övgün, Ali (THE EUROPEAN PHYSICAL JOURNAL PLUS, Springer, 2015-06-11)
In this article, we consider the Hawking radiation (HR) of vector (massive spin-1) particles from the traversable Lorentzian wormholes (TLWH) in 3+1 dimensions. We start by providing the Proca equations for the TLWH. ...
  • Akgün, F. Tüba (Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) - Doğu Akdeniz Üniversitesi (DAÜ), 2016)
„Le Petit Prince‟, which was penned by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry and is one of the books translated into, published and read in most number of languages, has drawn great interest in Turkish also. As of 1st January 2015, due ...
