dc.description.abstractThe spectra of a two-electron quantum dot in a magnetic field of arbitrary strength is obtained by using the shifted 1/N expansion method. The level ordering as well as the transitions in the angular momenta of the quantum dot are studied. The dependence of the electron absorption spectra on the applied magnetic field is also calculated. Comparisons show that our results are in good agreement with the exact ones.
