    Turizm Sektöründe Gelir Analizi: Kuzey Kıbrıs Türk Cumhuriyeti ile Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Arasında Karşılaştırma

    Dünya genelinde artan turizm faaliyetleri, turizm sektörünü önemli bir lokomotif sektör haline getirmiş ve ülkeler arası rekabeti giderek artırmıştır. Günümüzde turizm birçok ülkenin ekonomisinde kritik bir rol oynamaktadır. Bu nedenle, turizm sektöründeki gelirlerin etkili bir şekilde yönetilmesi, ülkeler arası rekabet avantajı sağlamak için kritik öneme sahiptir. Turizm sektörünün ekonomi üzerindeki etkilerini anlamak ve optimize etmek için yapılan analizler, bu bağlamda çok büyük önem taşımaktadır. Bu çalışmada, 2014-2021 yılları arasındaki turizm verileri incelenerek Kuzey Kıbrıs Türk Cumhuriyeti (KKTC) ve Türkiye Cumhuriyeti'nin uluslararası turizm pazarındaki potansiyelleri değerlendirilecektir. En küçük kareler yöntemi kullanılarak yapılacak analiz, çeşitli turizm stratejilerinin etkilerini ve bu stratejilerin turist sayısı ve gelir üzerindeki katkılarını detaylı bir şekilde ele alacaktır. Bu analiz sonucunda elde edilen bulgular, KKTC'nin turizm sektörünü güçlendirmek için öneriler sunacak ve turizm planlamasında öngörülen turist sayısına dayalı olarak beklenen gelir tahminlerine rehberlik edecek, böylece sürdürülebilir büyümeyi destekleyecektir.     Kıbrıs Gastronomisinde Üzüm Sucuğu ve Çeşitlendirilmesi

    Tarih öncesi dönemlerden günümüze kadar varlığını sürdüren üzüm, sofralık, kurutmalık ve şaraplık çeşitleriyle büyük bir çeşitlilik ve kalite sunmaktadır. Bu nedenle, Kıbrıs kültüründe bağcılık ve üzümden yapılan geleneksel lezzetler oldukça önemlidir. Bağcılığın köklü bir geçmişe sahip olduğu bu coğrafyada, bağcılıkla ilgili geniş bir ürün yelpazesi oluşmuştur. Yüzyıllardır hem geleneksel bir uygulama olarak hem de zor zamanlarda gelir kaynağı olarak üzüm ürünleri işlenmekte ve çeşitli ürünler üretilmektedir. Bu ürünler arasında üzüm suyu en ön planda yer almaktadır. Üzüm suyundan yapılan tatlılar, ekonomik canlanmayı destekleyebilir. Çalışmamızın ilk bölümünde kültür ve kültürel miras kavramlarının tanımları yapılmıştır. İkinci bölümde, kültürel mirasın gastronomi üzerindeki etkileri ele alınmıştır. Üçüncü bölümde ise gastronomi, Kıbrıs gastronomisi ve Kıbrıs'taki üzüm ile ilgili bilgiler sunulmuştur. Dördüncü bölümde, çalışmanın metodolojik konuları detaylandırılmıştır. Beşinci ve son bölümde ise yapılan sucukların tadım testi analizleri, bu analizlerin sonuçları ve genel değerlendirmeler bulunmaktadır.     Considerations in Design of Environmentally Sustainable Residential Kitchens

    Kitchen is one of the most functional parts of a house and therefore plays a crucial role in the sustainability of houses. The complexity of contemporary kitchens’ multifunctionality along with considerable expenses of kitchens’ components create additional importance for kitchens in architectural projects. On the other hand, Environmental degradation has become one of the main concerns of present era which threatens the lives of all species on earth including humans. As a result, environmental consciousness has grown drastically among humanity leading to an increase in demand for green and sustainable kitchens, which also adds to complexity of contemporary kitchen design. As sustainability is a multi-layered concept, while designing a residential kitchen, designers should consider various factors related to sustainability in all stages of design and construction. Despite the significance of the subject there is a lack of practical guidelines to help designers, particularly interior designers, in dealing with this very important duty. The aforementioned issues have driven this study to attempt for devising a practical guideline regarding the design of sustainable residential kitchens. First, a comprehensive literature review is carried on about sustainability, sustainable interior design and sustainable kitchen. Then, based on this inclusive study a practical guideline has been prepared to perform as a tool to help designers in design of sustainable residential kitchens. This guideline has been prepared with a focus on environmental issues and can also be used for educational purposes in schools of interior architecture. Further studies on the subject can be done which include all dimensions of sustainability (social and economic dimensions).     Optimization of Contractor Selection Procedures for Road Construction Projects in Yemen: AHP-TOPSIS Based Model

    The construction sector is among the essential industries of any country's economy. Clients or organizations must make an important decision when selecting a contractor since it is vital to the success of any project. The construction industry is developing, and projects are becoming more complex; as a result, the traditional practice of tender award is not convenient anymore, and enhancement is needed due to the problems arising from conducting the lowest-price award practice. The following research focuses on developing a decision-making framework to assist in selecting a competent contractor and establishing evaluation criteria for road construction projects. The decision-making tool is developed by implementing the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) along with the Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) as a scientific base for the selection mechanism. The selected criteria for evaluation are established through a literature review and expert’s opinion in the field. Moreover, the Aggregation of Individual Priorities using the Weighted Geometric Mean Method (AIP-WGMM) is introduced as part of this research to assist in group decision-making through AHP. The established model will be assessed by utilizing the model in a realistic case study. After conducting the case study, the outcomes are compared to the traditional practice in tender awards, which is the lowest price. Based on the results, the bidder awarded the contract that submitted the lowest price came as second after performing the case study using the proposed system.
