8. Sınıf Müzik Dersi Kapsamında Uygulanan Psiko-Motor Beceri Geliştirici Etkinlikler ile İlgili Öğretmen ve Öğrenci Görüşlerinin İncelenmesi

Abstract

ÖZ: Bu araştırmanın amacı, KKTC Temel Eğitim II. Kademe (ortaokul) 8. sınıf müzik dersi kapsamında kullanılan psiko-motor beceri geliştirici etkinlikler ile ilgili müzik öğretmenlerinin ve 8. sınıf öğrencilerinin görüşlerini inceleyerek bir durum saptaması yapmaktır. Araştırmada nitel yöntem olarak yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme tekniği kullanılmıştır. Bu yöntemle hem müzik öğretmenleri hem de 8. sınıf öğrencileri ile bire bir görüşme yapılarak veriler toplanmıştır. Araştırmada on beş müzik öğretmeni ve kırk dört 8. sınıf öğrencisi ile çalışılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler içerik analizi yapılarak araştırmacı tarafından analiz edilmiştir. Bulgulardan elde edilen bilgiler; okullarda kullanılmakta olan psiko-motor beceri geliştirici etkinliklerin eksik olduğunu, bu etkinliklerin etkili ve verimli kullanılamadığını, materyal ve gerekli ortamın eksikliğinden kaynaklanan sorunlar nedeniyle müzik dersinin gerektiği gibi işlenemediğini göstermektedir. ABSTRACT The aim of this research is to investigate the views of 8th grade teachers’ and students’ on activities used for the development of psychomotor skills within the 8th grade music course offered at secondary school level in Turkish Republic of North Cyprus. This is a phenomenological study wherein qualitative research paradigm was used with an interpretevist approach. Qualitative data was collected through conducting semistructured interviews with fifteen 8th grade music teacher and forty four 8th grade students. The qualitative data was analyzed through content analysis by categorizing and coding the recurring themes. The findings revealed that the activities used for the development of psychomotor skills are designed and used randomly depending on the preferences of the music teachers; hence are not applied at a required level in an efficient way. This is believed to be due to a lack of intructional materials and instruments, lack of an appropriate music class, lack of supervision and in-service training, and the attitude of both families and students towards music as course.
