Abstract

Prospective Teachers who take education in the Department of Turkish Teaching face with several problems in teaching informative and educative texts and in course applications about uncovering meaning correlation in these texts which take place in Special Teaching Methods course. Informative and educative texts presents information about life and increase the readers' knowledge. Teaching these texts through inductive methods supports the process of creating good and stable behaviors on students, and affects students' language learning in a positive way. Prospective Turkish teachers should learn not only the subjects related to the field for uncovering the structures based on meaning through the text and making them usable in the daily life, but also the techniques and strategies in order to gain skills to turn them into application. This work covers problems that prospective teachers face while applying their knowledge on informative texts, and possible solutions to these problems.
