Online Gazetelerin Kullanımı ve Doyum Sorunsalı: Kuzey Kıbrıs Örneği

Abstract

ÖZ; GeliĢen teknolojiyle birlikte geleneksel medya da payını almıĢ ve bir dizi değiĢimler göstermiĢtir. Basılı gazeteler varlığını devam ettirirken geliĢen teknoloji ile beraber gazeteler internet ortamında yerini almıĢtır. Geleneksel gazetelere göre, online gazeteler okura bir takım avantajlar sunarken bir diğer taraftan da beraberinde olumsuzluklar getirmiĢtir. Online gazeteleinr; hız, zaman tasarrufu, arĢivlere 7/24 ulaĢım imkanı, maliyet olarak daha ekonomik olması, okura aktif iletiĢim sunması gibi birçok avantajı bulunmaktadır. Diğer taraftan online gazetelerin dezavantajları arasında en önemli sorunlardan biri, online gazetelerin internet üzerinden eriĢimi olduğundan, mali gelirleri; reklamlar, tıklanmalar ve site içerisinde geçirilen zamanlardan kazanmaktadırlar. Bu durum kullanılan bazı yöntemler yüzünden, okur tarafından güvenilirliği düĢük bulunmaktadır. Buna göre; bu çalıĢmanın amacı, Kuzey Kıbrıs basınında yer alan online gazeteler bağlamında bir araĢtırma yapılarak güven unsurunu etkileyen etkenlerin neler olduğunu belirlemek ve okurun güven kaybını giderebilecek düzenlemeler olup olmadığını tespit etmektir. Bu araĢtırmada yöntem olarak veri analizi kullanılmıĢ ve dolayısıyla anket yöntemine baĢvurulmuĢtur. Okur odaklı bir çalıĢma olduğundan güven unsurunu tespit edebilmek açısından nicel verilere duyulan ihtiyaç doğrultusunda anket yöntemi uygulanmıĢtır. With the developing technology, traditional media has taken its share and showed a series of changes. While printed newspapers continued to exist, newspapers became available on the internet with the developing technology. While online newspapers offer a number of advantages over traditional newspapers, they also brought lots of disadvantages with them. Speed, time saving, 7/24 access to archives, more economical in terms of cost, providing active communication to the readers and continues to offer advantages. On the other hand, as the disadvantages of online newspapers which are provided over the internet are as the reliability of the newspapers to the reader is low due to some methods used for the financial income they earn from advertisements, clicks and time spent in the site. It is important to note that online newspapers have advantages and disadvantages compared to traditional newspapers which need to be considered. Citizen journalism, which has come to light with the new media, poses an excessive threat. The aim of this study is to determine the factors that affect the element of trust by conducting a research in the context of online newspapers in the Northern Cyprus press and to determine whether there are regulations that can eliminate the loss of confidence of the readers. In this research, data analysis was used as a method and questionnaire were distributed to gather data. As it is a reader-oriented study, a questionnaire was applied in order to determine the element of trust in line with the need for quantifiable data.
