Kuzey Kıbrısta Ailede Çocuğun Değerinin Aile Yapıları Açısından İncelenmesi

Abstract

In order to shed light on the role of children in today's society, and understand the importance of family relationships, parents are the main instrument, which affects the formation and development of the child, the attitude of the parents to children, helps to more clearly recognize the importance of family relationships. The current study explores the model of the family reflection of todays family changes in North Cyprus, the way of the family structure is considered as well. The aim of the study is to examine the values parents attribute to their children with the regards of culture and family structures, and the influences which affect the childrens development.The sample of the study, children between 36 to 72 months, four different public and private pre-schools in Famagusta, including villages and central areas, contributed its data analysis to the current study along with 413 parents. The study variable were presented as following: values, parents contribute to the children, the age of the parents, educational level of the parents, economical status of the family, tenure history, demographical factors, were analyzed. Research was planned based on Kağıtçıbaşı (2010)‟s Theory of Family Change. The research work implied the usage of qualitative and quantitative methods. For data collection was used Kağıtçıbaşı in (VOC) “Value of the children scale" Personal information forms, semi-structured interviews. The statistic program SPSS 22 was used in order to make the analysis of the data. The results showed that Families in North Cyprus attributed their value to the social and psycological well being of the children, and this level has a high interest in the study. Moreover, the educational and financial level of the family has been concluded as effective approach for the childrens social development. ÖZ: Anne babaların, çocuklarına yükledikleri değerler, aile ve toplum içinde çocuğun yeri ve rolüne bir anlayış sağlaması, ayrıca insan gelişimi ve aile sistemlerine ışık tutması bakımından önemlidir. Bu araştırmada Kuzey Kıbrıs‟ta, Aile Değişim Modelinin seçilen örneklemi oluşturan aileler üzerindeki yansımalarının ne şekilde olduğu incelenmiştir. Araştırmanın amacı, değişen kültür ve aile yapılarına göre çocuğa yüklenen değerin incelenmesi, aile yapısındaki kültürel değişmelerle birlikte, çocuğa doğrudan yansıyan etkenlerin ve çocuğa yüklenen değerlerin belirlenmesidir. Araştırmanın örneklemini Gazimağusa ilçesi merkez ve köylerinde seçkisiz örnekleme yöntemi ile belirlenen özel ve resmi dört farklı okul öncesi eğitim kurumuna devam etmekte olan 36-72 aylık çocukların anne babası olan 412 anne baba oluşturmaktadır. Anne babalar tarafından çocuğa yüklenen değerin, anne babanın yaşı, eğitim durumu, ekonomik durumu, mesleği, doğup büyüdüğü çevre, gibi değişkenler açısından incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma, Kağıtçıbaşı (2010)‟nın „‟Aile Değişim Kuramı‟‟ na dayandırılarak planlanmıştır. Araştırma hem niteliksel hem de niceliksel yöntemleri içeren karışık desene dayalı bir çalışmadır. Araştırmada veri toplamak için, Kağıtçıbaşı‟nın „‟Çocuğun Değeri Ölçeği‟‟ kişisel bilgi formu, yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formları kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen verilerin analizinde, SPSS 22 programından yararlanılmıştır. Araştırmanın sonucunda Kuzey Kıbrıs‟ta ailede çocuğun sosyal ve psikolojik değerinin anlamlı olarak yüksek görüldüğü, ailenin eğitim durumu ve maddi durumunun etkili olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
