dc.description.abstractA generic model of mobile wireless ad hoc networks is proposed. The model is implemented in terms of a class of extended Petri nets. Its main components are network nodes and a virtual switch. The virtual switch realizes all communications between network nodes and controls random node movement in given area. The model can be extended in a number of ways to investigate different modes of inter-node communication and routing schemes. The model is implemented in simulation system Winsim based on extended Petri nets. Copyright ©2008 by Bo?azi?i University.
