dc.description.abstractA novel method of designing a stepped impedance lowpass filter which involves the use of suspended substrate microstrip technology to improve filter performance as well as multilayering for reduction in size is reported. This filter has the sharpest cutoff when compared with microstrip and conventional suspended substrate microstrip filters. The measured results for all three types are presented.
