Abstract
This paper analyses M. K. Gandhi's concept of man in terms of certain nomological axioms. The issue of methodological individualism and collectivism is explained at some length to show that in the Gandhian philosophy, these concepts are inter-related and conflated, so they do not give rise to the problem of methodological dualism. The paper also examines Gandhi's views on the rationality of man in the context of worldly materialism and brings out the critical significance of justice, equality, cooperation, rights and duties in the life of a rational man. © Serials Publications.
