Abstract

Unconditionally stable complex envelope (CE) perfectly matched layer (PML) formulations are presented for modelling band-limited electromagetic applications. The method is based on incorporating the Crank Nicolson scheme into the CE finite difference time domain algorithm. A numerical example carried out in one-dimensional domain is included to show the validity of the proposed formulations.
