Abstract
E-learning will play an important role in the training portfolio of students in higher and vocational education. Tehran Institute of Technology had decided to constitute a distant learning department in order to satisfy the hasty demand of online education as a part of the strategic policy TTI public education. Among the technical courses in which the institute is pretty reputed, the department aimed at designing an artistic course to satisfy the need of those who are interested in such fields and cannot attend such courses in person. However, art courses are so challenging in that they represent theoretical and technical materials together, and this is a difficult problem to tackle in an e-learning program. This paper represents three basic steps which were passed in order to offer an art course with acceptable quality in TTI. The methodology, interests, and evaluating factors are defined and discussed, and moreover, the outcomes and results of the four periods of the course were presented. Finally, some points were discussed briefly as the conclusions.
