Improving the Performance of Query by Sketch Using Parallel Techniques

Abstract

In this paper, we have developed a query by Sketch software which uses parallel techniques to improve the performance of search engines. The developed software improves the search efficiency in terms of the execution time and results relevancy. In addition, the software contain drawing tools, which will help the user to describe the required file and to pre-process the uploaded image before starting the search, like image cropping, rotating and re-sizing which will give opportunity to specify exactly which part of the uploaded file is required.
