Abstract

The purpose of the paper is to test empirically how education, GDP growth rate, unemployment, literacy and fertility rates affect female labor force. This paper provides a review for the literature on female labor force in Turkey which includes education as a determinant of human capital. Special attention is given to the studies which investigate human capital effects on females. The findings of this study show that increasing educational attainment results in greater economic activity of women.
