| dc.description.abstract | Drawing on threat-rigidity and reformulation of attitude theories, this thesis proposes and examines a research model that investigates the influences of both qualitative and quantitative job insecurity simultaneously on green work outcomes. Data gathered from hotel employees during the COVID-19 pandemic in Turkey were utilized to test the hypothesized associations through structural equation modeling. The findings suggest that quantitative job insecurity erodes harmonious environmental passion, green recovery performance, and proactive pro-environmental behavior. The findings further suggest that harmonious environmental passion mediates the impact of quantitative job insecurity on the aforementioned green work consequences. Contrary to our predictions, the findings lend no credence to the negative impact of qualitative job insecurity on harmonious environmental passion, green recovery performance, and proactive pro-environmental behavior. Implications about how job insecurity can be mitigated and employees’ green behaviors can be increased presented in the study. Keywords: COVID-19; Green recovery performance; Hotel employees; Harmonious environmental passion; Job insecurity; Pro-environmental behavior | |
