dc.description.abstractThe article aims at analyzing the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) banking sector in the post-2001 period to assess the performance of the sector after the TRNC Banking Crisis of 2000-2001 through the CAMELS approach. According to this approach, the financial statements of the top five banks with the largest asset sizes have been analyzed in terms of capital adequacy, asset and management quality, earnings ability, liquidity and asset size. © EuroJournals Publishing, Inc. 2009.
