The Impact of Music Instrument Grades on Cumulative Grade Point Averages at Graduation: A Times Series Empirical Approach

dc.description.abstractThis study breaks new ground focusing on assessment of individual music instrument courses on Cumulative Grade Point Averages at Graduation by employing the Johansen test for co-integration to investigate a possible long-run equilibrium relationship between CGPA and MUSK instruments courses at Eastern Mediterranean University of North Cyprus. Vector error correction models have also been carried out to investigate any possible short-run dynamic models in sequel of co-integration tests. The study follows Granger's causality analysis among the assessment of individual music instrument courses, Grade Point Averages and Cumulative Point Averages at Graduation. The results for Vector Error Correction Estimations (ECM) also reveal that MUSK2 and MUSK8 coefficients are found to be significant and elastic for the equation of CGPA and the music instruments courses as well as per semester Grade Point Averages and CGPA's respectively.
