| dc.description.abstract | A new technique, based on the digital signal processing algorithms developed for digital filters, is presented for the simulations of electromagnetic problems in the time domain. In this method, the Maxwell's equations, expressed in the Laplace domain, are discretized by using the bilinear transformation technique and some digital processing methodologies with minimal storage requirements. The proposed method has the advantage of the simplicity as it allows direct time domain discretization of Maxwell's equations. The new formulations are validated by analyzing three-dimensional guided-wave problem. | |
