Sınıf Öğretmenliği ve Okul Öncesi Öğretmenliği Lisans Programlarında Öğrenim Gören Öğretmen Adaylarının Girişimcilik Niyeti ile İşsizlik Kaygıları Arasındaki İlişki

Abstract

ÖZ: Bu çalışmada, 2021-2022 Eğitim ve Öğretim yılının Güz döneminde Atatürk Öğretmen Akademisi ve Doğu Akdeniz Üniversitesi’nin Sınıf Öğretmenliği ve Okul Öncesi Öğretmenliği lisans programlarında eğitimlerini sürdüren öğretmen adaylarının girişimcilik niyetleriyle işsizlik kaygılarının ne derece ilişkili olduğunun belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmanın amacı kapsamında öğretmen adaylarına Demografik Bilgi Formu, Girişimcilik Niyeti Ölçeği ve İşsizlik Kaygısı Ölçeği olmak üzere toplamda üç adet anket formu sunulmuştur. İlişkisel tarama modeli ile yapılan çalışmanın evreni örneklem olarak kabul edilmiş, toplamda öğrenim gören 552 öğretmen adayına ulaşılmaya çalışılmıştır. Google Formlar aracılığıyla gönderilen anket forumlarına yeterli yanıt alınamayınca eksik sayı kadar öğretmen adayına elden forumlar ulaştırılmaya çalışılmıştır. Buna rağmen Covid-19 salgınının etkisini sürdürmesi sebebiyle öğretmen adaylarının tümüne yine ulaşılamamış ve süreç sonucunda sadece 418 adet anket formuna yanıt alınabilmiştir. Toplanan veriler SPSS 25 analiz programı kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Verilerin değişkenlerle normal dağılım göstermemesi sebebiyle analizde parametrik olmayan yöntemler kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizi sonucunda; öğretmen adaylarının girişimcilik niyetleri ile işsizlik kaygıları arasında p > 0.5 düzeyinde anlamlı bir farklılık bulunamamış, sadece girişimcilik niyeti ile işsizlik kaygısı Çevre alt boyutu arasında negatif yönde anlamlı bir ilişki saptanmıştır. Yapılan regresyon analizi sonucunda işsizlik kaygısı Çevre alt boyutunun girişimcilik niyetini negatif yönde etkilediğine dair bulgulara ulaşılmıştır. Bunların yanında; yaş, cinsiyet, kurum, lisans programı ve ağırlıklı not ortalaması bağımsız değişkenlerinin girişimcilik niyeti ve işsizlik kaygısı üzerinde çeşitli etkileri olduğu saptanmıştır.In this study, it was aimed to determine the relationship between the entrepreneurial intention and unemployment concerns of teacher candidates studying in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus state higher education institutions Atatürk Teacher Training Academy and Eastern Mediterranean University Classroom Teaching and Preschool Teaching undergraduate programs in the Fall semester of the 2021-2022 academic year. Within the scope of the research, a total of three questionnaires, namely Demographic Information Form, Entrepreneurial Intention Scale and Unemployment Anxiety Scale, were presented to teacher candidates. The target population of the study, which was conducted with the correlational survey model, was accepted as the sample, and it was tried to reach 552 prospective teachers studying in total. When there was no adequate response to the survey forums sent to the teacher candidates via Google Forms, the forums were tried to be delivered to the missing number of prospective teachers by hand. However, due to the continuing effect of the Covid-19 pandemic, all of teacher candidates could not be reached again and as a result of the data collection process, only 418 of the questionnaires were answered. The collected data were analyzed using the SPSS 25 analysis program. Since the data did not show normal range with the variables, non-parametric methods were used in the analysis. As a result of the analysis of the data, there was no significant difference at the p>0.5 level between the entrepreneurial intentions of teacher candidates and their unemployment concerns, only a negative significant relationship was found between entrepreneurial intention and unemployment anxiety Environment sub-dimension. As a result of the regression analysis, it was found that unemployment anxiety Environment sub-dimension negatively affects entrepreneurial intention. Besides these; It has been determined that the independent variables of age, gender, institution, undergraduate program and weighted grade point average have various effects on entrepreneurial intention and unemployment anxiety.
