Yat Turizminin Mevcut Durumu ve Bölge Halkı Üzerine Etkisi: Dipkarpaz Örneği

Abstract

Yat turizmi genel olarak insanların denizde belirli bir güzergâh doğrultusunda gerçekleştirirken; dinlenmek, spor yapmak, eğlenmek, yeni yerler keşfetmek gibi çok çeşitli seçenek sunan deniz turizminin bir alt dalıdır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, Dipkarpaz Bölgesindeki aktif olarak hizmet veren “Karpaz Gate Marina Hotel”in ülke turizmine ve yöre halkına katkısı, yat turizminin olanaklarını tespit etme, altyapı sorunlarını ortaya çıkartmak ve sorunlara çözüm yolu aranmaktadır. Bölge gerek tarih ve kültürel gerek el değmemiş ve betonlaşmamış yapısıyla farklı turizm olanakları bulunduğundan ötürü bölgedeki yat turizmi sunabilecek hizmet olanakları saptamak, yat turizmi gelirlerini arttırmak, bölge halkının turizme bakış açısını ve bilinçliliği arttırmak olarak amaçlanmaktadır. Çalışma 6 aşamadan oluşmuş olup ilk bölümde araştırmanın önemi, amacı, katkısı açıklanmıştır. 2. Bölümde ise Dipkarpaz ve KKTC’de mevcut durum araştırılmış ve veriler elde edilmiştir. 3. Bölümde literatür taranmış olup turizm kavramı ve önemine değinilmiş ve 4. bölümde ise araştırmanın metodolojisi ve teorik altyapısı, araştırmanın veri toplama yöntemi, örnekleme yer verilmiş, paydaş kavramı açıklanmış, Dipkarpaz Bölgesinin yat turizmi paydaşları sıralanmış, bölgede yapılan anketlerle birlikte Dipkarpaz Bölgesinin yat turizmi açısından durumu katılımcıların görüşleriyle birlikte analiz bulgularına yer verilmiştir. 5. Bölümde tartışma yer almış olup elde edilen bulgularla daha önce taramış olduğumuz veriler karşılaştırılmıştır. Sonda ise katılımcıların görüşleriyle birlikte çalışmanın sonucu elde edilmiştir. Yacht tourism is a sub-branch of maritime tourism, where people generally engage in activities along a specific route at sea, offering various options such as relaxation, sports, entertainment, and discovering new places. The purpose of this study is to determine the contribution of the “Karpaz Gate Marina Hotel”, which is actively operating in the Dipkarpaz Region, to the national tourism and local community, to identify the possibilities of yacht tourism, uncover infrastructure issues, and seek solutions to these problems. Given that the region offers diverse tourism opportunities due to its historical, cultural, untouched, and unspoiled nature, the aim is to identify the services available for yacht tourism, increase the yacht tourism revenues, and raise the awareness and perspective of the local community toward tourism. The study consists of six stages. The first section explains the importance, objectives, and contributions of the research. In the second section, the current situation of Dipkarpaz and Northern Cyprus (KKTC) is investigated, and data is gathered. The third section reviews the literature, addressing the concept and importance of tourism, while the fourth section outlines the research methodology, theoretical framework, data collection methods, and sampling. The concept of stakeholders is explained, the yacht tourism stakeholders of the Dipkarpaz Region are listed, and the situation of the region regarding yacht tourism is analyzed through the opinions of participants from surveys conducted in the area. In the fifth section, the discussion takes place, where the findings are compared with the previously reviewed data. Finally, the results of the study are presented along with the opinions of the participants. Keywords: Yacht tourism, Marine Tourism, Economic Development
